Sunday Rounds
Sunday is the main shooting day for Warringah Archers.
Sunday rounds are designed to provide a competitive event for archers of all levels.
All members are encouraged to attend, including novices.
Times:
You need to be at the grounds before 9:20am for target allocation.
Members arriving after this time may not be able to shoot.
Ground Crew
Each Sunday, two members are rostered for ground set-up. They need to arrive before 9:00am.
A ground layout diagram and target allocation form for each Sunday are avialable in the clubhouse.
Match Play Round
This consists of a ranking round (36 or 72 arrows), followed by a non-elimination match play.
All archers shoot their second longest FITA round distance for both ranking and match play.
QREs
Qualifying and Ranking Events are held at Warringah approximately 6 times per year.
A QRE is an Archery Australia sanctioned event, where scores count towards a national ranking.
QREs are run under FITA tournamnet conditions with supervision by a National Judge.
QREs are open to all AA registered archers.
All Warringah Members are encouraged to attend and entry is free to Warringah Members.
An entry form for Warringah Members (only) will be on the Clubhouse notice board at least two weeks before each QRE.
You must enter to participate (you cannot just show up on the day).
Space is limited and entry is on a "fist come, first allocated" basis.
72 Arrow, 2 distance Rounds
This consists of either the long or short half of the FITA rounds.
Members have the option of combining the long and short versions of these rounds in order to shoot a FITA round.
In this case, the second round will commence 30 minutes after completion of the first round (approx. 12:15pm)
